Anna and I did not get along well at all when we were younger. Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. I think that is why I appreciate our friendship so much now. I just got off the phone with her and we talked for over an hour. She and I have had to wrestle with some of the same struggles in life. She is the one in the family I go to when I feel like no one understands me. We still disagree about things, at times very passionately, but she has helped me with so many different things.A few weeks ago I started working through the book of John. I hit chapter 3 about a week ago and haven't moved past it. I've read this chapter numerous times before but it has never come to life as much as it is now. I keep reading it over and over again in different translations. I don't know what it is about this chapter but it is so good. God has something for me to get and I'm going to keep eating it up until I figure it out.
Edison to get ready for our students to arrive next Tuesday. I have lots of mixed feelings about the school year being here. I'm praying God will open doors for me to share Christ's love with my students and colleagues. This is a pivotal year in my teaching career and that makes me a little nervous. We'll see what tomorrow's in-service has in store.
