Lots of thoughts...

I LOVE MY SISTER, ANNA!!!
Anna and I did not get along well at all when we were younger. Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. I think that is why I appreciate our friendship so much now. I just got off the phone with her and we talked for over an hour. She and I have had to wrestle with some of the same struggles in life. She is the one in the family I go to when I feel like no one understands me. We still disagree about things, at times very passionately, but she has helped me with so many different things.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKE!!!!
Tomorrow is my good friend Brooke's birthday. It has been a long summer not having her around. I could do a whole post about how awesome she is. It's coming soon!!!!!
JOHN 3
A few weeks ago I started working through the book of John. I hit chapter 3 about a week ago and haven't moved past it. I've read this chapter numerous times before but it has never come to life as much as it is now. I keep reading it over and over again in different translations. I don't know what it is about this chapter but it is so good. God has something for me to get and I'm going to keep eating it up until I figure it out.

SCHOOL IS HERE
Tomorrow I head back to Edison to get ready for our students to arrive next Tuesday. I have lots of mixed feelings about the school year being here. I'm praying God will open doors for me to share Christ's love with my students and colleagues. This is a pivotal year in my teaching career and that makes me a little nervous. We'll see what tomorrow's in-service has in store.

  1. Funny. They say that music notes, numbers, and languages all use the same brain functions. Maybe you just had the wrong teacher...

  2. I believe God will use you in a mighty way, but you have to get out of the way and let Him. The school is your ministry Sarah, God has always opened that door for you when He has closed the doors at church jobs you wanted. He wants you to use the musical talent He gave you for Him and the students. Be blessed that God has given you a job in which you can impact so many kids. Most kids that need the Lord don't come to youth group...they are out in the world. That is your mission field.
